A little BOY (Aubrey agreed that it was okay to pick a boy, hehe) Ryan is nearly two years old, and will be having another surgery in the upcoming months. We will be collecting cards for him for a two week period. Because he is a very young "Jellyfish" we are also collecting cards for his over-the-top strong Mommy. Words of encouragement always help work wonders, as well as prayers. She totally accepts them! :) I asked her to write a little something about Ryan, so here it is!
Ryan is a wonderful little boy who makes everyone around him smile. Ryan was born with Congential Heart Defects, but went undiagnosed until he was two weeks old when he crashed on us. Thus began a six week hospital stay and two heart surgeries to repair major defects. At his one year check up, a mass was discovered in his heart, last week we found out that it has grown and is blocking blood flow through his Aorta. Open heart surgery is the only way for the Doctors to take care of the problem. Ryan is gearing up for another battle, His initial stay for the surgery will hopefully only be seven days. He will recover at home after that, and have numerous check -up's with his Cardiologist. Ryan loves Cars, trains, Doggies, and dinosaurs.
This Jellyfish is dear to my families heart because my husband and Ryan's grandpa used to work together. We love them, and hope you take some time to send a card! "Changing lives, one card at a time."
